imo for those using vent with a different name, it does not take a long time to change ur name again.

and for inhouses, its a good idea to tag up.

when ur by urself, i dont really care if u have a tag on or not.

when u recruit, u will have ur tag on.

+tournament = +tag

Tags scare pubs so I will disregard that part...I understand completely about ventrilo, and iH's but I don't agree with the pub part.

Yes, tags may turn away some pub players, but you should always be proud of your tag. In your case, you should go after people who think you're a newb because of the tag and prove them wrong.

A majority of players will leave a game against 5 OD players. This especially inconveniences us when we are just trying to play games together against some randoms and we can't get anyone to stay.

Well, like I said, it was a "should" for pubs. Five of us in a pub, and I ditch my tag as well ;)

To the guy with the promo comment: I may only touch on the enlisted crowd, but it stays the same for anyone: you'll only give a promo vote to somebody you recognize from playing.
