New Recruiting system
Recruiting Procedure
Recruiting is a privilege given to Officers and Generals, and with such a privilege comes great responsibility. A recruiter should look for manners, skill and active level as characteristics for new Overdosed members
Recruiting for StarCraft and StarCraft: Brood War
A member who wants to be added to the Trial Members page should have 50 games played on the account they are asking to join with. Doesn't have to have more wins than losses, but the name should be an active Battle.net account. Once the Officer deems the member worthy of trying out for the clan, the Recruiter (officer or general) will then ask the member to choose a name for themselves followed with the (ODr) tag. (Namechoosen(ODr)) The recruiter will then instruct the trial member that he/she will remain a trial member for 7 days. In that time they need to be voted by 4 Generals or Officers in order to obtain membership into our clan. Then tell the member they will become a recruit in 7 days provided they get the correct amount of positive votes. Remind he/she that the recruit rank only last 2 days apon the granted membership.
Recruiting for WarCraft III and WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne
Same principle applies to WCIII as with BW. New account name with the (ODr) tag. A WCIII player should be at least a level 6 and a 45% win ratio before a test to join Clan Overdosed should be administered. The Warcraft III/TFT player will need 2 votes to enter the clan.
Recruiting for Diablo 2 and Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction
The recruiting is the same procedure as above but with a few exceptions. A D2 player needs a level of at least 80, have more then 2 chars over the lvl 70 (including the lvl 80) and must have decent items to be considered for trial membership. A D2 player doesn't need to change account names for the trial period but will have to choose an Overdosed name that will be added to the site and have them add their selected name follow by (ODR) (Namechoosen(ODr)) in their profile. The D2 player will need 3 votes to enter the clan.
Recruiting for Counter-Strike
The recruiting process for Counter-Strike is much different from the other games. For a player to be eligable to recruit, he/she must show at the current time of interest 3 factors. They must posses obvious gaming skills, manners and team-play skills. This means that they are not only a good player as an individual, but also as a team player. They must also have good manners and respect all other players. ANYONE not meeting all three of these is NOT eligible to be a recruit.
When an eligible recruit has been selected they must simply change their name in the game to #TeamOD.Name-r. Then the recruitment process can begin. The Officer or General recruiting must then play on any server a 1v1 for 24 rounds with the recruit. The recruit may choose the map and the Officer or General chooses which side the recruit will start on that map. 12 rounds will be played and the two participants will switch sides and play another 12 rounds. During this 1v1 the recruit will record a demo (console, record Recruitsname) and the Officer or General will take a screenshot of the final score on both sides (thats 2 total screenshots). If the Officer or General thinks that the recruit is worthy of the last phase he/she may then give the recruit one vote on the website. Upon giving the first vote, the Officer or General will then PM TheWalker(OD) via website and/or AIM and inform him that a recruit is ready for the second phase. Upon successful completion of the second phase, the second and final vote will be given. THE SECOND VOTE MUST BE GIVEN BY THEWALKER(OD). There are no exceptions to this rule. No CS recruit is allowed into OD or ODCS without TheWalker(OD)'s permission and vote.
Additional Information
The recruiter should also instruct the ODr that they need to log onto the site (once they become a member) and is a good idea to read the news and check the forums at least once a day. A password will be sent via email to the trial member if he passes the trial process on the 7th and from then on out will have to login the site and is a offical Overdosed member.
Officers and Generals will then watch (ODr) members for skill, manners and activeness. Recruiters on their own time can log onto the site and vote for the (ODr) members they have the chance to meet with this trial member. Please take the time to tell a little about why you voted.
Questions & Answers
*Note: The term ODR is refered to as Overdosed Recruit or also known as a trial member
Q. If the ODR obtains all votes before the finish trial period, will the ODR become a member before the 7 days are up?
A. No, the member will be ODR for 7 days even if he/she receives the proper amount of positive votes before the 7 days. This allows time to watch the member's mannerism.
Q. There are so many generals and officers, DO I have to vote?
A. Yes, not voting means you are not doing your job as a recruiter and your job could be given to someone who will do the job.
Q. I am a BW player, can I vote for WCIII or D2 players?
A. It is assumed that officers and generals with skill in a certain game would recruit for their game. HOWEVER you can vote based on mannerism as long as you explain so in the vote process.
Q. Who gets the credit for recruiting the member if they make it through the trial period?
A. The recruiter who added the ODR to the site in the first place. A note of this will be placed in the logs if the ODR can meet the requirements stated above.
Q. Im a recruiter, what is the proper way to add to the site?
A. When you add a trial member to the site, you add them as if they made the clan already. So when you add them they would be listed as NameChoosen(OD) but on Bnet or CS they would wear a (ODr) tag for their trial period.
